Base pay range

$300,000.00/yr - $450,000.00/yr

Our client, a prominent global hedge fund, is seeking an experienced Director or Principal to lead the product control function in Manhattan, NY. Responsibilities include leading daily product control activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards, as well as collaborating closely with trading, risk, and finance teams. This is a hybrid role offering a balance of remote and onsite work and comes with a competitive salary!Job Function

• Lead and manage the global product control function, supporting equities, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, and alternative assets.
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly profit and loss production, attribution, and analysis across all trading strategies.
• Ensure accurate valuation and fair value adjustments for all traded instruments in line with accounting standards.
• Drive automation and process improvements for reporting, controls, and reconciliations using advanced technology.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, risk teams, and valuation committees on performance insights and new product implementations.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes related to trading activities, coordinating with auditors and regulators.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline.
• 10 years of experience in product control or financial control roles, preferably within a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools is also advantageous.
