Responsibilities
  • Lead credit origination and underwriting of new loans for portfolio clients and manage portfolio relationships within Healthcare CRE and Middle Market industry verticals.
  • Coordinate with Business Unit Head and Relationship Managers on underwriting and closing senior debt financings and credit requests.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers on loan structuring, credit terms, and negotiations.
  • Prepare detailed credit approval documents with comprehensive analysis of transactions, clients, industry trends, and risks.
  • Support transaction processes, lead diligence, prepare financial models, and manage transaction closings in accordance with credit policies.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio, monitor financial performance, and proactively assess risks.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Webster's credit products and build trusted client relationships.
    • Education, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
  • 5-10 years experience in commercial banking, finance, or private credit.
  • Bank credit training and experience in Portfolio Management and Underwriting roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial statement analysis.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
