Job Summary
The Director of Payment Transformation will lead a high-performing team to create new care delivery and payment model transformations across the Geisinger Enterprise. The role involves developing and implementing innovative payment and care delivery models, including work in the Keystone Accountable Care Organization, Geisinger Accountable Care Organization, the Transforming Episode Accountability Model (TEAM), and Direct Contracting strategies.
Job Duties
Partner with leadership to develop a strategic plan for Payment Model Innovation, fostering a culture of innovation throughout the system.Identify new market opportunities for alternative payment models, including CMS-funded options.Recommend and assist in delivering innovative care programs, monitoring their progress and impact.Build a world-class innovation team under the Payment Transformation Pillar at the Steele Institute for Health Innovation.Train Geisinger personnel and manage a high-performing team focused on continuous learning and improvement in quality, utilization, health outcomes, and patient experience.Develop measures of innovation from ideation through pilot and scale, promoting continuous learning.Demonstrate financial acumen and manage budgets related to participation in alternative payment models.Lead the implementation of payment model innovations and collaborate across clinical and administrative leaders.Communicate the purpose of care delivery programs and payment transformations effectively.Support the Keystone ACO, Geisinger ACO, and TEAM programs, working across the enterprise to develop innovative care models that improve quality and reduce costs.Participate in governance committees, meetings, and forums as assigned.Promote Geisinger Health System's approach to education and innovation.Maintain confidentiality of health information.Stay informed about regulatory changes impacting alternative payment models and industry trends.Work Environment

Position Details
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and managerial/supervisory experience required.
