Responsibilities
  • Lead the Paid Social team on day-to-day activities and participate in strategic media planning and execution.
  • Train and guide the paid social team, including managing Associate Directors and Sr Managers where applicable.
  • Provide Meta-specific knowledge and technical expertise to educate team members and grow client outcomes.
  • Lead strategic social plan development in collaboration with other digital teams.
  • Integrate social insights into overall planning, using data, research, and analytics to understand the role of social in larger media objectives.
  • Oversee creation of media documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and related outputs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and develop points of view related to social marketplace buying.
  • Own learning agendas including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization standards to maximize campaign impact and efficiency.
  • Forecast and manage project timing; communicate changes to managers and leadership.
  • Serve as a primary resource for junior team members in conversations with internal/external partners and clients.
  • Coordinate with client teams to ensure prioritization of projects and alignment with goals and objectives.
  • Manage and develop team members, create growth plans, and set career goals; conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
  • Provide education on best practices, media principles, and social industry trends.
  • Participate in interview processes for new team members.
  • Focus on partnerships with channel partners across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, X, and Snapchat.
  • Take on high-spending clients and enterprise accounts (spending over 100k/month on platforms).
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of paid social media experience, specifically with Meta
  • Day-to-day technical skills within Meta
  • Understanding of customer journey and marketing holistically
  • Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities
  • Thorough knowledge of advanced analytics and performance media
  • Understanding of marketing principles, analytics, and concepts
  • Experience buying ads on Facebook and Instagram; additional platforms preferred
  • Exposure to advanced targeting/retargeting tactics in social
  • Experience owning the full social strategy process with partners, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present and sell ideas internally and to clients
  • Comfort managing budgets and investment levels in social media
  • Strong cross-department relationship navigation
  • Leadership and supervisory experience in developing media professionals
