Overview

A global financial institution is seeking a seasoned Director, Operational Risk to join its first line of defense team, providing dedicated risk and control coverage for Treasury and Finance functions. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of operational excellence and risk mitigation—ideal for professionals passionate about building strong control environments while supporting core financial operations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of the annual Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process for Treasury and Finance teams.
• Maintain and enhance process mapping and internal control documentation.
• Support internal control testing and monitor remediation efforts for issues and self-identified findings.
• Act as the first line liaison with second- and third-line risk functions, ensuring adherence to non-financial risk frameworks.
• Advise control and process owners on effective control design and risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide operational risk consultation for new product initiatives and strategic business changes.
• Execute key enterprise risk programs including Business Continuity Planning, Conduct Risk, and Information Security.
• Report regularly on non-financial risk exposures, risk ratings, and key indicators to senior leadership.
• Coordinate and communicate risk updates, policy changes, and control expectations across Finance and Treasury teams.
• Support regulatory exams, audits, and compliance reviews as a subject matter expert on operational risk and control practices.
