Base pay range

$95,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr

This individual will provide strategic and operational oversight of the Workforce One Center as well as comprehensive employer engagement to new, existing and expanding businesses and industry. AsDirector they will leverage existing employer networks to provide a responsive, demand-driven approach to connect the talented pool of job seekers in their borough to the hiring needs of businesses.The Awesome Things You'll Do

  • Implement a data-driven, industry- informed strategy and implementation for cultivation of job orders
  • Develop and expand on a repository of employer partners, engaging new and existing businesses throughout the borough
  • Facilitate business advisory and industry consortiums to ensure that the needs of industry are proactively met with qualified job seekers
  • Coordinate closely with Community Partnership Manager to develop partnerships that connect job seekers, including special populations (Veterans, Recipients of TANF, People with Disabilities, and Older Adults)
  • Leverage data and collaborate with the Strategic Operations Manager to identify areas for quality improvement
  • Ensures operations of the Workforce One Career Center are effectively managed and serve the needs of employers and job seekers.
  • Coordinate with a diverse network of government, city agencies, community partnerships and employer member organizations to drive a coordinated and responsive approach to proactively meet the needs of employers
  • Utilize labor market research and employer member organizations to drive and cultivate new business
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary team to drive marketing materials that reflect employer needs and recruit viable job seekers
  • Attend offsite events and training as needed
Our Must Haves
  • B.A. or B.S. degree required along with at least 3-5 years of experience leading career navigation, case management, vocational counseling, or employment services.
  • Demonstrated success leading employer demand-driven outcomes-oriented workforce development programs
  • Ability to engage a diverse network ofemployers in sectors with high-demand and growth potential
  • Ability to utilize labor market information and employer network to drive and expand on portfolio of employers
  • An understanding of the special needs of an economically and socially disadvantaged population.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with diverse populations
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including active and reflective listening, motivational interviewing, authentic communication, and conflict resolution
  • Highly effective problem-solving and follow up skills
  • Ability to focus deadlines and details
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Record-keeping, case noting, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining confidentiality
