Job DescriptionThe University of Tennessee at Martin seeks to hire a Director of the Ripley Center. This position will manage the University of Tennessee at Martin Ripley Center and aid in support of the UT Martin Office of Regional Centers and Online Programs.Responsibilities
- The position holder will oversee coordinating, marketing, planning, recruitment, scheduling, and managing all UT Martin Ripley Center operations, including program offerings, classroom management, faculty support, student support, distance learning education facilities, and other areas as needed.
- This position assists with identifying problems and providing recommendations to ensure the growth of degree and non-degree programs.
- The position also assists with managing all budget activities, expenses, revenue, and projections for the Ripley Center and coordinates/implements all advertisement production and advertising schedules.
- Responsible for the development of recruitment plans and events within Lauderdale County and the surrounding region.
- The position serves as an ambassador to the University in fostering and facilitating relationships with city and county officials, high school administrators, other stakeholders, and community members.
- Travel is sometimes required across West Tennessee to support the Center's operations.
- Other duties as assigned for the Office of Regional Centers and Online Programs.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
- 3 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience working in a higher education institution, campus operations, and student support.
- Supervisor experience.
- Demonstrated abilities in leadership, human relations, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
- Evidence of strong work ethic related to decision-making, timeliness of reporting, oversight of multiple and ongoing projects, and the ability and passion for working with community, industry, and K-12 partners.
