Director of Upward Bound - Missouri Southern State University : Job Details

The Upward Bound Director plans, directs, and implements all project activities and serves as an academic skills resource and mentor to students. This position oversees all aspects of the Upward Bound Program and ensures that all aspects of the program are efficient and effective. - This is a grant funded position. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties: Researches and writes grant proposal for refunding. Oversees recruiting and selecting of students for the Project. Visits target schools and participants on a weekly basis. Administers diagnostic tools and examines test data to determine individual service needs. Develops programs and services to meet the needs of Project participants and assists with planning and designing curriculum. Coordinates the professional job-shadowing program. Directs the Project's Summer College Simulat ion Experience. Coordinates the Summer Bridge Program. Manages the Upward Bound budget.
