Classification Title: LECTURER

Classification Minimum Requirements: A master's degree in physics, physics education, or a related field, and at least two years of experience teaching undergraduate physics.

Job Description:

The role involves organizing and supervising in-person Physics 1 (mechanics) and Physics 2 (E&M) laboratory courses, training graduate TAs, scheduling, evaluating, and updating lab manuals. The director supervises a team including a Teaching Laboratory Specialist and maintains lab equipment, including computer interfaces and software.

Additionally, the director oversees the delivery of UF Online courses, training TAs, supervising experiment kit assembly, and assisting students with data acquisition devices. Responsibilities also include maintaining advanced undergraduate laboratories, developing new experiments, ensuring safety compliance, and managing a budget from student lab fees.

Required Qualifications: Master's degree in physics, physics education, or a related field, with at least two years of undergraduate physics teaching experience.
