Full Job Description: Director of Transportation

Responsible for organizing, administering, and supervising the school district transportation system, which includes an annual budget of $4.5 million, over 240 employees, and a fleet of over 400 buses and vehicles, all in accordance with local, state, and federal laws, policies, and district regulations.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Management, or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of formal education.
• Experience: At least 8 years in transportation and/or logistics, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles. School transportation experience is preferred.
• Specialized Knowledge and Licenses: Possession or ability to obtain and maintain a current CDL license. Extensive knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies related to school transportation. Skills in funds management and budgeting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
