RA1 Full time Permanent Position Must have one of the following: Oregon PT, OT, COTA, SLP License JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Therapy Services is responsible for the planning, development, organization, implementation, and oversight of rehabilitation programs (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology) within our skilled nursing facility. This position ensures that therapy services are delivered in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies, and that they meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and patient-centered care. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to therapy department staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care planning with nursing, social services, and other departments
- Ensure therapy services are delivered according to individualized care plans and physician orders
- Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer requirements
- Develop and monitor department budgets, productivity standards, and resource utilization
- Maintain licensure, certification, and continuing education requirements for all therapy staff
- Improvement initiatives related to patient outcomes and therapy services
- Ensure therapy equipment and supplies are maintained, safe, and in working order
- Serve as the liaison with external therapy contractors or agencies (if applicable)
- Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives related to patient outcomes and therapy services
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:- Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy
- Current, valid license to practice in the state of Oregon
- Certification in CPR (required)
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in documentation systems, EMRs, and Medicare/PDPM regulations
