The Director of Surveillance is responsible for managing both covert and overt surveillance of assets, employees, vendors, guests, and visitors at Hollywood Casino to safeguard funds, property, and safety. The role involves adherence to documented procedures, well-trained staff, and maintaining positive relationships with departments, regulators, and senior management to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength, and compliance goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, monitor, and adhere to budgets; ensure compliance with departmental budget initiatives.
  • Report budget concerns/deviations to Executive Management/GM.
  • Develop, enforce, review, and approve changes to operating practices, procedures, and standards based on business needs and internal controls.
  • Maintain knowledge of and enforce all applicable gaming laws and regulations.
  • Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of Surveillance equipment.
  • Inform Executive Team and/or General Manager of irregular activities.
  • Submit reports on incidents, infractions, and violations.
  • Liaise with gaming regulators, law enforcement, and other agencies, maintaining positive relationships.
  • Document and supervise investigations of reported incidents.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Manage staff development and training programs.
  • Implement rewards and recognition programs to enhance employee engagement.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Recommend staffing levels.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of Casino Surveillance experience.
  • At least five years of Surveillance leadership experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of casino operations, games, and cheating/scam detection.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of video surveillance systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including email, incident reporting, and report writing.
