Career Opportunity:

  • Reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain
  • 34 FTEs to include 2 Managers
  • Manage materials management operations system-wide to ensure cost efficiency, timely availability of supplies, and support of clinical care areas for three hospitals, including the bulk warehouse and internal couriers
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and internal standards across all procurement activities
  • Partner with department heads and key stakeholders to align supply chain/materials management strategy with clinical needs
  • Supports cross-functional initiatives to improve cost efficiency, elevate service delivery, and support clinical operations through strategic supply chain alignment
  • Develops departmental budgets and implements cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
  • Identifies gaps and variability in sourcing, purchasing, logistics, distribution, and inventory management processes
  • Recommends and supports process redesign initiatives to improve service delivery and reduce costs.
  • Fosters and leverages strong vendor relationships to ensure high service levels, resolve issues quickly, enhance product value, and support long-term strategic sourcing goals aligned with organizational needs
  • Leads, trains, and coaches teams within the Materials Management department, fostering collaboration, effective communication, operational effectiveness, and strong inventory control practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Three+ current years of related operational and leadership experience in an acute care hospital system setting
  • Value Analysis and Purchasing experience a plus
  • Workday or comparable ERP system experience
  • Proven track record in healthcare supply chain/materials management leadership, preferably in a multi-site acute care setting
  • Expertise in operations, strategic sourcing, data-driven decision-making, and process improvement
