The UPMC supply chain organization has the primary responsibility to manage all commercial aspects of UPMC's spend portfolio. This responsibility includes managing the commercial strategies for all global spend to ensure that UPMC receives the greatest value for the company. The Director of Strategic Sourcing position exists to provide strategic direction, guidance and accountability for the management of the spend portfolio for all UPMC businesses. Responsibilities: Drive and deliver competitive advantage and cost savings for UPMC by managing the execution of a comprehensive commodity management approach that includes in-depth global market analysis as part of the overall detailed strategic sourcing plan. Develop short- and long-term plans and improvement projects for the spend portfolio to effectively manage UPMC's commercial position and deliver measurable value.
