Our client, a provider of automotive fleet leasing and management services, is looking for a Director of Strategic Initiatives. This is a pivotal role that drives the company's long-term strategic direction through the identification, development, and implementation of key growth initiatives. This position requires close collaboration with the Transformation and Strategy Leadership and executive teams.
Director of Strategic Initiatives Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Developing strategic vision, conducting market analysis, and creating detailed strategic plans.
- Project Management: Leading the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget, and tracking benefits.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Leading and motivating diverse teams, fostering collaboration, and communicating effectively with executives, including respectfully challenging leadership with thoughtful insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, delivering compelling presentations, and acting as a strategic partner to the executive team.
- Analytics and Performance Measurement: Conducting advanced data analysis, utilizing data visualization, establishing KPIs, and performing post-implementation reviews.
- Change Management: Developing strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
Director of Strategic Initiatives Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
- 8+ years in strategic planning, business transformation, or project management, preferably in a leadership capacity, with experience in large-scale change initiatives across various business functions (e.g., HR, Legal, Technology, Payroll, Finance).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Proficiency in project management tools is also essential.
- Certifications (Preferred): Lean Six Sigma methodologies; PMP Certification is a plus.
