Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Staffing has responsibility for the operations, execution and financial performance of all staffing functions for the company. The job holder prospects for new clients, recruits, selects for hire, onboards employees, and performs administrative tasks for LIVIT. The Director supervises staffing recruiters, business development managers, and other staffing associates.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position supervises staffing recruiters, business development managers, and a other staffing associates.

Essential Job Functions:

Policy, Planning, and Execution (20%)

  • Set staffing departmental objectives and initiatives in keeping with organizational goals and strategies
  • Implement staffing action plans to achieve targeted outcomes, and monitor progress by establishing milestones and measuring progress according to plan

Recruiting and Selection (20%)

  • Recruit candidates by creating and placing job ads via various mediums such as online job boards and social media platforms, finding and contacting passive candidates, participating in job fairs, and networking
  • Arrange and conduct job interviews
  • Perform background checks and arrange pre-employment drug screens
  • Select candidates for hire and make conditional offers of employment

Onboarding (5%)

  • Onboard employees by ensuring timely completion of new hire paperwork, instructing employees on employment policies/procedures and use of employee-self onboarding application, and entering requisite employment data into human resource information system (HRIS) and staffing/recruiting platform
  • Generate new business by researching potential clients, networking at key client/association events, following up on referrals, and establishing appointments via phone, email, and drop-ins
  • Develop relationships with key decision-makers using a strategic and consultative approach to understand the client's needs

Staffing Administration (40%)

  • Provide reports and documentation to management regarding employees and operations
  • Answer inquiries from customers and employees on a wide range of issues such as job assignments and work orders
  • Oversee processing of personnel transactions such as employee status changes, employment verifications, and governmental agency reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure appropriate employment data and records are stored, maintained, and retained in accordance with legal requirements

Supervision (5%)

  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate performance
  • Assign and prioritize duties and projects
  • Manage daily staff time tracking
  • Coach, counsel, discipline, and terminate in accordance with company policy
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Equipment:

Computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines

Software:

MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Avionte staffing/recruiting, and Paycom HRIS applications

Safety:

Follow LIVIT safety policies.

Special Conditions of Employment:

Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, job candidates are required to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience using Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
