As a Director of Engineering, you will be an engineering leader who shapes what we do and will set the tone for how we do it. You will be part of the Connections Platform team, which includes dedicated pods building EHR integrations, building connections products for provider, payer and life sciences products. This specific role will focus on building connectivity with affiliates as per the data needs of payer, life sciences, attorneys and insurance organizations. You will be working closely with various product teams across the growing Datavant customer base to enhance data exchange between a wide range of data providers.

Specific requirements:

  • Been managing 2+ teams and managing managers
  • Can taken on more scope as their team(s) grow
  • Strategic product minded leader
  • Handling ambiguity and trade offs, a big part of the job is being able to identify requirements and finding the right solution to use to solve the problem. You might have to dive into other teams' codebases to collaborate with them on building a solution in their ownership area.
  • Having interoperability and data access experience is a plus

In this role you will:

  • Build, grow, and lead a world-class team of engineers who build the critical parts of our product platforms
  • Create the technical vision for Datavant's suite of data connectivity solutions.
  • Partner with product and design to ship value to customers
  • Be a critical leader of the provider business, delivering rapid revenue and customer growth by directing how customer use cases, capabilities, positioning, and more come together to create a winning product.
  • Be the champion & driver of product innovation processes & initiatives.
  • Be hands-on by leading high impact efforts.
  • Be a strong communicator, coach, and mentor.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • You have 15+ years of engineering experience including multiple years in leadership, managing managers, building scrappy teams from scratch and building large enterprise software.
  • You are passionate about building a business that transforms the healthcare industry

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:

$200,000 — $280,000 USD
