Description SUMMARY:

The Director of Room Operations leads the propertys Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Recreation including Pool and Beach. This role ensures that operations run smoothly, meet brand standards, and provide excellent guest service. The Director is responsible for driving financial performance, improving guest satisfaction, and fostering a motivated and high-performing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leadership & Strategy

    • Lead the Rooms management team to develop and execute strategies that align with brand goals.

    • Ensure the property meets brand standards for service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

  • Financial Performance

    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and expenses to meet financial targets.

    • Analyze performance and coach the team to achieve revenue and cost goals.

  • Guest Experience

    • Monitor guest feedback, resolve complaints, and implement improvements.

    • Ensure service delivery consistently exceeds guest expectations.

  • Team Development

    • Hire, train, and develop team members, setting clear performance goals.

    • Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure staff are held accountable.

  • Operations Management

    • Oversee daily operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments.

    • Coordinate with Maintenance on repairs and projects to keep the property in top condition.

  • Property Inspections & Compliance

    • Regularly inspect the property to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.

    • Ensure compliance with safety, audit, and brand requirements.

  • Communication & Collaboration

    • Lead departmental meetings and ensure effective communication across teams.

    • Foster a positive work environment and maintain open lines of communication with associates.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven leadership experience in Rooms Division or hotel management.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and team-building abilities.

  • Experience with branded hotel systems preferred.

  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
