We are looking for a Director of Risk Management, Senior Living. The primary responsibilities and qualifications include:

  • Deliver and maintain reporting measuring performance and proactively identify clinical issues for licensed healthcare real estate (Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing) in all 50 states.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the services of the Clinical Efficiency, Quality and Prevention in establishing standards and maintaining systems to measure quality/risk in performance against regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a clear understanding the specific components that affect each component of the 5 Star rating system to attain favorable outcomes data for all short-stay and long-stay QMS, including overall Star rating and changes to both state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare reports including recommendations, loss review and benchmarking data. Assists the implementation of assessment recommendations providing proactive risk reduction guidance to mitigate exposures and improve resident safety.
  • Exercise discretionary judgment and utilizes appropriate research/information when acting as a resource and providing direction/consultation/education to clients.
  • Document all client and potential client interactions and service, within defined timeframes, utilizing the appropriate information location.
  • Travel (approximately 50%) - Complete on-site visits as needed to help Identify and address performance concerns before they impact objectives and to assist in responses to regulatory authorities when needed.
  • Evaluate and consult on the clinical risks associated with underperforming or troubled assets.
  • Seek to understand the client s current infrastructure as it relates to IT, Clinical Data Services, Quality Assurance in assessing the borrower/operators strategies and technologies to address Risk and Opportunities for the development of improved regulatory outcomes.
  • Deliver with high quality standards and strive for excellence; act in a proactive, flexible and responsive manner to the organization needs.
  • Maintain awareness of evolutions in technology, sponsor and competitor positions as well as regulations affecting Risk Based Monitoring.
  • Will support all initiatives of the firm including duties not specified in this document as assigned by the managing directors and/or JV partners.
  • Assist with licensure renewals and applications.
  • Provide support to Managing Directors
  • Identify sentinel events and communicate with affected constituents regarding risk mitigation strategies.
  • Stay abreast of emerging clinical/regulatory risks in the senior housing space and develop proactive strategies as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years related work experience.
  • Bachelor s Degree (or equivalent).
  • Strong relationship management skills, ability to establish good relationships internally and externally.
  • Current RN license in good standing with a clinical background (Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing preferred).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A desire to learn and grow within the industry.

Greystone Monticello offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000/year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
