Director of Risk Management and Insurance - University of the Pacific : Job Details

Reporting to the CFO and EVP for Finance and Operations, the Director of Risk Management & Insurance is responsible for building and administering the Universitys risk management and insurance programs. This position directs and leads the development of risk management strategies and related policies and procedures. They influence University risk owners to manage and mitigate operational risks. Essential Functions Insurance and Risk Management Financing: Identify exposures, analyze and evaluate risks, and oversee the placement of insurance programs, including property, casualty, educators legal liability, cyber, and more. Design optimal insurance structures leveraging third-party insurers. Lead strategy discussions, negotiate terms, and oversee the placement of insurance coverages. Oversee administration, record-keeping, and oversight of insurance programs and policies across various loss types.
