Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our in-house rehabilitation services team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, whether in a hospital, dental clinic, or acute care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of medical terminology, and experience with budgeting and financial management. The Director will oversee the rehabilitation department's operations while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and fostering a collaborative environment among staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the rehabilitation department, including staffing, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to create individualized rehabilitation plans for patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Ensure that all staff members are trained in HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for rehabilitation staff and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Manage financial aspects of the department, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control measures.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in rehabilitation services to continuously improve departmental performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology; Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting such as a skilled nursing facility, hospital or outpatient clinic.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and operational oversight.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Experience in post-acute care settings is highly desirable; experience in skilled nursing facility rehabilitation is a plus.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to rehabilitation services.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $114,400.00 - $124,800.00 per year + 5K sign on bonus!
