Director of Quality, Performance Improvement, and Risk needed for healthcare organization.

Candidates must have strong experience and results as a Director in a general acute care setting with at least 10+ years of strong results.

Must be an RN with a Master's degree; CPHQ certification is preferred. Strong leadership role in Q.I./P.I. is essential.

Steady work history is required. Six Sigma certification is preferred.

The position reports to the VP of Quality and will have overall hospital-wide Q.I. responsibilities.

The Director will be responsible for the development, direction, and effective implementation of a comprehensive hospital-wide performance improvement, peer review program, outcomes management, external reporting, and patient safety systems. Key performance components include:

  • Clinical process improvement and team management across all departments.
  • Lead all CMPI direction in collaboration with VP, CQO, and AQOs.
  • Expertise in data/information management, protection, presentation, and benchmarking.
  • Lead medical staff peer review management as documented in bylaws and PI plan.
  • DNV and other regulatory compliance for quality of care.
  • Registry oversight, budgeting, and staffing for quality improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Support departmental quality resources as entity expert and partner.
  • Participate with system quality leadership to gain competency and effectiveness in organization-wide initiatives as prescribed in strategic plan.
