Position SummaryThe Director of Quality Management is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the firm's quality assurance protocols to ensure the highest standards of service delivery. This leadership role involves developing and implementing comprehensive quality management policies, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and firm standards. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, and serve as a technical expert and trainer in technical guidance and assurance services quality management.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Expertise & Quality
- Oversee and manage independence issues, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements.
- Direct and continuously evaluate the firm's system of quality management within the assurance department to maintain compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Lead and oversee PCAOB, DOL and SEC inspections, ensuring firm-wide adherence to respective regulations and reporting requirements.
- Lead and oversee Peer Review, ensuring firm-wide adherence to AICPA standards and reporting requirements.
- Manage internal engagement inspections, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions and training to enhance assurance services quality.
- Conduct and report on firm-wide internal inspections and quality reviews of financial statements, assessing key risk areas and evaluating judgments made by the assurance team.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of quality management policies that align with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Drive continuous improvements in internal processes to enhance assurance services efficiency and maintain high-quality service delivery, which includes root cause analysis and remediation.
- Apply advanced technical expertise to auditing of complex transactions and overseeing reviews of smaller, less complex audits, reviews, and compilations.
- Design and implement risk-based engagement procedures, incorporating materiality assessments and collaboration with engagement teams.
- Conduct independent technical research to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain advanced research capabilities in accounting and auditing to support technical excellence across the firm.
- Technical expert responsible for proactively monitoring and evaluating new and emerging accounting and auditing standards, assessing their applicability to the Firm's service offerings, and authoring technical guidance materials, including whitepapers, position papers, and internal memos, to support consistent interpretation and implementation across the Firm.

Education, Experience, & Other Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in public accounting or a related field, with 4 years of supervisory experience or Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Inspection experience required.
- Must have an active CPA or equivalent certification.
- Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Standards is required.
- Exhibits strong analytical ability, critical thinking capacity, and diligently performs assigned tasks with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism including the ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
- Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative, and continuously changing environment.
- Computer proficient with the capability of performing at an intermediate or advanced level with respect to the Microsoft Office Suite of products (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel) or similar software applications.
