Our client is seeking a Director of Program Operations & Development for their Behavioral health
services department. The Director will be responsible for leading and managing the operational
and developmental aspects of behavioral health services. This role ensures efficient program
operations, drives strategic growth, and promotes the delivery of high-quality care. The Director
will oversee program implementation, quality improvement initiatives, and the development of
new service offerings, while fostering a collaborative and data-driven environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operational Leadership:
o Oversee the day-to-day operations of behavioral health programs, ensuring
adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
o Monitor program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement
strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
o Manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and optimal resource
allocation.
• Program Development:
o Lead the development and implementation of new behavioral health programs and
initiatives.
o Conduct needs assessments to identify service gaps and opportunities for
expansion.
o Develop program proposals, secure funding, and oversee program launch and
implementation.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
o Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high
quality, evidence-based care.
o Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as
accreditation standards.
o Utilize data to track program outcomes and drive continuous quality
improvement.
• Strategic Planning & Collaboration:
o Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's strategic
plan for behavioral health services.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders,
and funding agencies.
o Foster a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
• Staff Supervision & Development:
o Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to program staff.
o Conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development
opportunities, and address staff concerns.
o Ensure that staff are properly trained, and that all needed licensing and
certifications are kept up to date.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
o Collect, analyze, and interpret program data to track performance, identify trends,
and inform decision-making.
o Prepare reports for leadership, funding agencies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in any related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Public Health,
Business Administration, Social Sciences).
• Demonstrated experience in behavioral health program management or related field.
• Strong understanding of behavioral health service delivery, regulations, and best
practices.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams, and to work collaboratively with diverse
stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Experience of budget management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with specific populations (e.g., children, adolescents, adults with
serious mental illness).
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
