Our client is seeking a Director of Production to oversee all aspects of the production lifecycle, including sourcing, planning, quality, and efficiency to ensure brand integrity is met for a better market product. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, including established factory resources with supply chain knowledge to deliver premium-quality products on time and within budget. Experience working with a variety of resources overseas. The salary range for this role is $225-250,000 based on experience.Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee the production strategy to meet business goals for cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Manage relationships with domestic and international manufacturers to ensure adherence to quality standards and ethical practices.
• Lead production planning, including capacity planning, forecasting, and scheduling, to align with sales projections and inventory needs.
• Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
• Oversee all buys, managing inventory levels, fitting into the brands revenue and margin targets.
• Plan and achieve revenue and margin targets by quarter.
• Set and maintain quality control standards and procedures.
• Identify, develop, and maintain the best factory resources for a quality product.
• Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring the procurement of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with vendors, ensuring compliance with ethical and sustainability standards.
• Evaluate new factories and production partners to expand capabilities and mitigate risk.
• Manage and mentor a team of production managers and coordinators
• Foster a collaborative and solutions-oriented culture within the production team.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Establish and enforce rigorous quality control processes to maintain the brand's luxury standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues during production and post-production phases.
• Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality.
• Monitor expenses and drive cost-saving initiatives across the production process.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Fashion Production, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in luxury, better brand production management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in the premium apparel sector.
• In-depth knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, from design handoff to finished goods with a blend of global resources.
• Experience with putting in place sustainability initiatives by exploring eco-friendly materials and processes.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Expertise in production planning and scheduling software.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
