Works externally with medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision carriers and benefits consultants. Consults with internal stakeholders partnering to set strategic direction and provide subject matter guidance.Essential Job FunctionsProduct Strategy

  • Assists with the development and vision of the overall product strategy.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of health ancillary benefit plans and services.
  • Develops and implements strategic and contractual relationships with carriers and providers of health plans and services.
  • Uses customer insight and market analysis to launch products that enable CPS to serve LCMS employers and be differentiated in the marketplace.
  • Assures all health and ancillary products are aligned and integrated.
  • Works closely and collaborates with other health & welfare product and vendor managers (disability, life, wellness, etc.) to ensure alignment with overall organizational strategy.
  • Provides subject matter expertise through the implementation process as well as in providing ongoing support across the enterprise.
  • Leads new product initiatives and communication efforts with new vendors.
  • Manages team of 2 Product Vendor Managers and 1 Product Specialist.
Product Management
  • At the direction of the AVP, Product Solutions:
  • Responsible for full product lifecycle management of suite of employee health and welfare benefits.
  • Researches and analyzes data to ensure products are competitively priced, positioned and effectively designed and administered.
  • Monitors emerging employee benefit issues, trends and legislation and recommending appropriate course(s) of action.
  • Develops recommendations to improve product performance and drive results.
  • Develops and implements product training plans.
  • Represents CPS and the company's product strategies to external entities.
  • Collaborates with related teams to analyze data to target specific populations for marketing efforts.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to develop and implement wellness strategy and culture, including awareness of health and wellbeing point solutions.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, marketing, communications or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant and demonstrated experience in the employee benefits field encompassing strategy development, product development, project management, sales and market development.
