The Director of Print/Mail Operations oversees the printing and mailing of customer deliverables from all of HC3's production facilities. This role contributes directly to the satisfaction of our customers and the company's operational goals by leading, managing, and holding Production Facility teams accountable for consistently generating high quality work products that meet end user expectations. A successful Director of Print/Mail Operations recruits and coaches a highly productive team that is focused on efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Provide general Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA) for Print and Mail operations within all of HC3's production facilities, to include technical staff, production staff, warehouse staff, facility maintenance staff, and mail acceptance staff.
  • Oversee all aspects of print production and mail processing and evaluate them with a continual improvement mindset to ensure the processes remain relevant, effective, and appropriately documented.
  • Manage vendor relationships and the provisioning of production supplies, equipment, and processing.
  • Ensure production meets client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for printing and mailing quality and timeliness.

Education, Experience, and CertificationsRequired
  • 5-10 years of broad manufacturing and industry experience
  • Management experience
  • Intermediate computer skills
Preferred
  • Four-year college degree in relevant field preferred
  • ISO, Six-sigma, TQM certifications helpful
Supervisory Responsibility

This position provides direct oversight and direction to the Print and Mail Production teams, to include assigning work, hiring for open positions, and conducting performance reviews.

Work Environment

Work will be performed in both a climate-controlled office environment and production facilities with heavy equipment and strict safety regulations.

Travel

This position will require occasional overnight travel (up to 20%) to provide oversight and support of HC3 production facilities in other locations, or to attend industry and trade events.

Physical Demand

This role will require using a computer for long periods of time while either sitting or standing, and sometimes may need to lift up to 70 lbs and operate warehouse equipment to move heavy loads of materials.

Position Type and Expected Hours

This is a full-time position with responsibilities that may require night and weekend work in order to remain available to direct reports and area(s) of oversight. Because production runs continuously 24/7/365, this role will be on call to resolve any escalated issues that occur during any of the three daily shifts.
