?? Director of Pharmacy – Central Valley, CA ??

We're seeking a dynamic Director of Pharmacy to join our leadership team at a ~50-bed hospital in California's Central Valley. This role combines hands-on clinical practice with strategic leadership, reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the Senior Leadership Team.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and support a talented team of pharmacists and technicians.
• Oversee all pharmacy operations: scheduling, compliance, process improvements, and budget management.
• Provide direct pharmaceutical care, including clinical decision-making and dispensing.
• Ensure compliance with California Pharmacy Law, hospital standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Drive excellence in antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety, and drug therapy management
• Stay current on new medications, evidence-based practices, and emerging trends.
• Actively contribute to hospital committees (QA, Formulary, P&T, MEC, Safety, etc.).
• Foster a culture of recognition and celebrate team achievements. ??

Details & Perks

• Schedule: M–F, 8:30am – 5pm (occasional weekend coverage)
• Team: 2 FT Pharmacists + 1 Tech (M–Th), 1 Pharmacist + 1 Tech (Fridays), PRN coverage on Saturdays
• Technology: Pyxis dispensing system
• Compensation: $180K–$200K + $15K sign-on bonus (paid out over 2 years)

• Solid understanding of California Pharmacy Laws and hospital operations
• Experienced in clinical health system pharmacy practices
