General Description
As a Director of Operations for Boka Restaurant Group, you will oversee specific restaurant locations. You will help develop strategies for increasing a restaurant's operational efficiency, hiring and training of management team, keeping open lines of communication with various teams throughout BRG, and oversee the overall business function of the locations assigned to you.
Schedule
- 5 days a week; schedule will vary including weekends and holidays.
Director of Operations Responsibilities
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring the management and operations teams at your assigned locations including the Floor Managers, Culinary Managers, Office Managers, etc., and assisting in training incoming new managers.
- Focusing on an identified need for improvement at your assigned locations by working with the BRG Executive Team to get a very clear understanding of the specific challenges and working in that location to observe and create a strategic plan for the improvement.
- Monitoring the status of staffing in all areas at the assigned entity; continuously ensuring that each entity is completely sound in its personnel needs.
- Ensuring cost controls at your locations are in place and continuing to find and implement additional cost control opportunities with your teams.
- Overseeing, auditing, and submitting finalized payroll and supporting documentation to the Boka Accounting team for assigned locations in a timely and accurate manner. Serving as the final set of eyes before paychecks are finalized.
- Ensuring weekly Management Meetings at your assigned locations are effective and driving initiatives forward with all parties arriving prepared with all follow-up tasks achieved.
- Holding the Management Teams at your location responsible for continuously managing and reporting any HR issues, cases, or concerns in a timely manner, ensuring all procedures are properly followed.
- Working with the COO and Beverage Teams to ensure Beverage Programs at your locations are aligned with the food offerings and concept, seasonally updated, and cost-effective. Working with the Operations team to better track depleting inventory while overseeing beverage purchasing and budgets.
- Assisting with coordination, execution, and completion of all manager performance reviews at your locations, providing thoughtful and impactful feedback for their continued growth.
- Overseeing the accurate and timely completion of all FOH & BOH inventories as well as ensuring the proper end-of-month reports are sent to the Accounting team, ensuring any inter-location transfers are properly documented.
- Providing support and coverage to the existing management teams because of a team member's absence, transition, or business need which may include but is not limited to: writing floor plans, running the floor, working the door, touching tables, assisting with getting ready for shifts, training new employees, participating in manager meetings, opening, closing, etc.

Physical Requirements
- Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, & cleaning chemicals
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces
- Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environments
