Director of Operations
Location: Onsite – Oregon, Wisconsin
Compensation: $165,000 – $190,000 base salary + bonus eligibility

Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Operations to lead and oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, driving efficiency, safety, and growth in a collaborative environment. This leader will be responsible for implementing transformation plans, driving Lean initiatives, and strengthening supply chain and production processes. The right candidate brings a strong manufacturing background, proven experience leading change, and the ability to onboard and develop teams in a highly collaborative culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee plant operations with the ability to navigate and manage through some plant ambiguity.
- Design, implement, and execute transformation plans to drive measurable improvements in productivity, material usage, and output.
- Lead Lean transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
- Onboard and mentor team members effectively—fostering a culture where employees can learn, grow, and contribute in a collaborative setting.
- Apply strong analytical skills to improve processes such as sales and operations planning (S&OP), inventory management, and P&L performance.
- Understand why inventory exists, analyze material costs, and implement corrective actions.
- Own and interpret P&L to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee supply chain activities, ensuring alignment with production and financial goals.
- Leverage software and data analytics tools to assess performance and build actionable strategies.
- Partner cross-functionally to align operations with business objectives and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or related technical discipline.
- 15+ years in manufacturing, including 5+ years in operational leadership.
- Demonstrated success in leading plant or operational transformation initiatives.
- Strong Lean manufacturing expertise.
- Experience with S&OP, P&L ownership, and supply chain management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to translate data into action.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and onboarding capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Background
- Experience in true manufacturing industries (e.g., pumps, heavy equipment, capital equipment, etc.).
- Background in companies recognized for developing strong operations leaders.
