Our client is currently seeking a Director of Operations for their facility located in Northern New Jersey. We are a leading food service distributor dedicated to providing high-quality products and outstanding service to restaurants, institutions, and hospitality partners. With a strong reputation for reliability and innovation, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our distribution center and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse and transportation operations. You will lead a team, streamline logistics, and ensure that our standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.

• Oversee daily warehouse and transportation activities
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including delivery schedules and routing
• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse and driver teams
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in food service or distribution
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems and logistics software
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and food safety standards
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
