The Opportunity

A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking a results-driven Director of Operations to oversee a 400,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant and nearby distribution center. With $500M in revenue and 800 employees, this role is a key leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, and preparing for future executive growth.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader to join a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment with a clear pathway to a VP of Operations role within 18-36 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize operations at a high-volume industrial manufacturing facility, specializing in metal manufacturing processes.
• Address cultural and operational challenges, including reducing scrap losses and driving cost efficiency improvements.
• Manage ongoing supply chain challenges and implement strategic process improvements to enhance productivity.
• Oversee a large workforce (800 employees), fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term operational strategy and succession planning.
• Develop and implement best-in-class lean manufacturing, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Experienced in large-scale industrial manufacturing operations with a proven track record in plant turnaround and operational efficiency.
• Skilled in managing cultural transformations, improving workforce engagement, and driving operational discipline.
• Strong financial acumen, with the ability to identify and execute strategies that reduce waste and enhance profitability.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing site of similar size and complexity.
