Director of Operations - High-End Residential Construction (Manhattan)Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a high-end residential construction company in Manhattan. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of luxury residential construction, project management, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-end projects on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.Key Responsibilities:•Operational Leadership & Strategy:•Oversee all construction operations, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet client expectations.•Develop and implement operational strategies to improve workflow, profitability, and overall efficiency.•Manage and optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and subcontractors.•Project Management & Execution:•Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest quality.•Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution.•Client & Stakeholder Relations:•Serve as the primary point of contact for high-net-worth clients, architects, designers, and developers.•Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners.•Address and resolve any project challenges while ensuring client satisfaction.•Financial Oversight & Budgeting:•Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.•Monitor project financials, including job costing, contracts, and change orders.•Ensure all projects meet profitability targets and company financial objectives.•Team Leadership & Development:•Lead and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and administrative staff.•Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and excellence.•Implement training programs to enhance team performance and efficiency.Qualifications & Skills:•10+ years of experience in high-end residential construction, with at least 5 years in a senior operational role.•Strong understanding of luxury construction techniques, materials, and project management methodologies.•Proven experience managing multiple high-end projects in Manhattan or other urban luxury markets.•Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.•Expertise in construction software (Procore, Buildertrend, AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).•Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, job costing, and contract negotiations.•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business (preferred).Would you like me to refine this further to match a specific company's needs?
