Job DescriptionOur long-standing luxury substance abuse program located in the heart of Dallas, TX is looking for an innovative and driven star to manage our state-of-the-art facility. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and agile. Must have strong project management, time management, and customer service skills. This individual will take the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing multiple projects simultaneously in addition to maintaining the day-to-day operations running smoothly as it is a crucial role to ensure the safety and success of our clients. Should be a creative initiator and meticulous executioner for driving continuous operational efficiencies. Strong communication skills, performance, and proficiency management are key to this position.Position SummaryThe Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing all facility and physical operations as well as the Recovery Coach department. This position is also responsible for providing supervision and support to the departments which fall under “Operations”, which includes, Recovery Coaches, Maintenance & Janitorial, and Kitchen.General ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Operations is responsible for: Overseeing, directing, and implementing all administrative, functional, and program operations of the organization's Non-Clinical and Non-Medical departments and processes.

  • Supervises leadership of the Behavioral Health and Operational Service line.
  • Plans, directs and monitors structural changes in the program.
  • Assesses and communicates overall productivity, operations and cost efficiency of services.
  • Directs and Advises on the workflow of daily operations.
  • Mediates unresolved complaints from clients or family members with other Dept. Directors. Resolves complaints from clients and client families/significant others and staff.
  • Coordinates the evening and weekend on-call rotation schedule. Acts as on-call supervisor if necessary during weekdays and provides back-up support for weekend staff as needed.
  • Oversees reports on client behavior, progress in treatment and ensures level of care is appropriate based on medical necessity.
  • Ensures treatment schedule is being followed by clients and ensures quantity of treatment is provided. .
  • Assists the Clinical Director in overseeing the treatment of non-compliant clients, specifically in the administration of behavioral contracts, and makes decisions on administrative discharges if necessary.
  • Assists the Clinical and Medical Directors with facility operational decisions.
  • Resolve facility physical and procedural deficiencies.
  • Makes decisions on staff hiring and dismissal with input of Clinical, Medical, and Operational Leadership.
  • Develops documents for all staff orientation and training for non-Medical/non-Clinical staff.
  • Reports all Grievances and Incidents in a timely manner to the Compliance Team.
  • Provides input on the development of action plans for resolving program deficiencies indicated by client grievances.
  • Immediately refers issues relating to medical policy to the nurse leader.
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Director on problematic cases requiring Medical staff input to provide clinical consultation/evaluation for treatment planning and risk/dangerousness assessments.
  • Maintains compliance with HIPAA regulations, Joint Commission policies and procedures, as well as all other state specific requirements.
  • Periodically assesses information based on the indicators, taking action as evidenced through performance improvement initiatives to solve problems and pursue opportunities to improve overall quality of the physical plant and its operations.
  • Establishes and supports specific performance improvement initiatives for the Behavioral and Non-Medical/Non-Clinical staff.
  • Reports to the Compliance Team on performance improvement activities on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Provides mentorship to staff through demonstration, sharing knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Monitors the performance of staff, including professional standards of practice.
  • Works with staff on performance improvement when areas of deficiency are identified.
  • Performs evaluations of leadership staff and oversees the performance reviews of their subordinates.
  • Monitors revenues and expenses in order to operate within the approved budget.
  • Submits required accounting records and associated reports.
  • Responsible for service line oversight and communication with project management.
  • Responsible for operational effectiveness to meet organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with community and internal partners to ensure coordinated patient/client care.
  • Directs staffing meetings and leads interdisciplinary meetings with non-clinical and clinical staff members, doctors and counselors to discuss, evaluate and develop treatment plans.
  • Ensure programs and services meet community needs while also achieving strategic objectives.
  • Provide strong advocacy for clients, the organization, and the community.
  • Lead strategic planning for mission fulfillment, provision of services, financial stability, and sustainability.
  • Assist accounting with the creation of annual operating plans and budgets, and assess outcomes
  • Provide analyses that identify and address operational challenges and opportunities
  • Build organizational leadership capacity
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure the needs of clients are met.
  • Provide support to various organizational departments including human resources, clinical and medical services, and utilization review.
  • Acts as a liaison to appropriate businesses, organizations, systems, and individuals in the treatment community.
  • Serves as the organization's representative and spokesperson to the greater community.
  • Develops administrative, personnel and program policies. Continues to develop organizational culture that is empowering and motivational with all employees and constituents.
  • Leads in the development and execution of the organization's mission and vision.
  • Ensures daily treatment schedule is in compliance with licensing bodies and payers.
  • Assess reports on all safety and incident issues on at least a monthly basis.
  • Chairs and communicates action plans to staff regarding the proceedings of the Environment of Care Multidisciplinary Safety Team, and the Emergency Operations Planning Committee.
  • Facilitate effective decision-making and communication processes
  • Monitors the clinical, administrative, and financial indicators of quantity and quality treatment.
  • Ensure appropriate business and information management systems are in place
  • Assists with other Compliance Department duties and/or projects as assigned.

  • 3+ years' experience in facility supervision and management.
  • Demonstrated management experience required;
  • Valid and active Driver's License for the State of Texas
  • Strong attention to detail and analytic skills required; Strong problem solving skills required
