Director of Operations (Energy Storage / O&M)

Austin, Texas (On-site)

Salary: $170,000 - $210,000 + 401K + PTO + Bonuses + Healthcare

As a Director of Operations, you will oversee and support project delivery, commissioning, and ongoing operational excellence for advanced energy storage control systems. In this role, you will drive strategic initiatives, optimize processes, and ensure the successful deployment and performance of cutting-edge software and hardware solutions for grid-scale battery and hybrid assets. You will collaborate closely with software, network, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration, security, and continuous improvements of the platform.

The Role:

  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's growth, goals, and profitability.
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams responsible for the full project lifecycle, including engineering, software deployment, hardware installation, commissioning, and integration.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across all operational functions - remote monitoring, data analytics, and digital asset management tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, software, network, IT, and sales teams.
  • The Person:

  • Operations experience in energy storage, renewables, or critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience with battery energy storage systems, EMS software, SCADA, and grid integration.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, IT infrastructure, network protocols, and cybersecurity in an operational technology environment.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Austin, Texas.
