Job Description

Due to growth, Bradford Construction is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to join the Construction Management leadership team. The ideal candidate has extensive industry experience and is a strategic leader with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and maximizing organizational efficiency. This position reports directly to the COO.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Partner with the COO, CEO, and Construction Management leadership to execute the company's strategic vision and operational objectives.
  • Oversee financial management for construction operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability tracking.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, trust, and long-term partnerships.
  • Contribute to business development by supporting proposal preparation, presentations, and client negotiations.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, streamline processes, and support growth.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure coordination across departments and alignment with company goals.
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to construction operations, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to teams, fostering accountability and professional growth.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and guide teams through transitions to evolving business needs.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience in the Construction Management industry; NYC and/or public agency project experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams, operations, and budgets/finances.
  • Background in business development, including proposals, client relations, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong operational expertise to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and manage risk.
  • Strategic thinker able to translate goals into actionable plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, executives, and cross-functional teams.
Education

Bachelor\'s degree in Business or related field, or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.

Salary

$200,000 - $225,000, plus annual performance-based bonus.
