Job Title: Director of Operations - Commercial & Residential RoofingSalary: Competitive base salary (likely $150-175K), exceptional bonus structure + benefits.Job Type: Full-TimeSummaryWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to oversee and manage the daily operations of our commercial and residential roofing divisions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both commercial and residential roofing, a strong background in operational leadership, and the ability to drive efficiency and quality across multiple projects and teams.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership:

  • Oversee all operations of the commercial and residential roofing divisions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage and lead a team of project managers, superintendents, and other key personnel.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Project Management:
  • Ensure that all roofing projects are executed according to contractual agreements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination between teams.
  • Address and resolve any project-related issues or conflicts promptly.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost control and profitability.
  • Monitor project costs, and implement measures to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Client Relations:
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service and communication.
  • Work closely with the sales and business development teams to support new business opportunities.
Team Development
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all operations comply with OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.
  • Promote a culture of safety, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
  • Manage risk and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
  • Innovation and Quality Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements.
  • Implement best practices in roofing techniques, materials, and technologies.
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards for quality and durability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the roofing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of both commercial and residential roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale roofing projects and leading diverse teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant technologies.
  • OSHA certification and other relevant safety training.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and on different types of job sites.
  • Regular travel to project sites, client meetings, and company offices.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet business demands.
