Join Us as a Director of Occupational Therapy (OT): The Director of Occupational Therapy (OT) oversees and manages all aspects of the Occupational Therapy department within Children's Specialized ABA. The role ensures high quality evidence-based OT services that align with ABA principles and support interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize client outcomes. The Director will lead a team of OTs to develop protocols and standards of care and work closely with BCBAs and other professionals to provide integrated treatment for children. What You'll Do: Clinical Leadership and Program Development
  • Oversee the delivery of occupational therapy services to ensure compliance with best practices, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain clinical protocols that integrate occupational therapy with ABA-based treatment approaches.
  • Guide therapists in creating functional, client-centered, and measurable goals aligned with interdisciplinary care plans.
  • Establish quality assurance standards, conduct clinical audit and implement improvement strategies.
Staff Supervision and Training
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for OT staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and develop individualized growth plans.
  • Coordinate cross training with ABA team to promote collaborative service delivery.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
  • Work closely with BCBAs, speech language pathologists and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, treatment planning sessions and case reviews.
  • Promote understanding of sensory integration, fine/gross motor development, and self-regulation strategies within the ABA framework.
Administrative Duties
  • Monitor department productivity and hiring needs
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal licensing regulations, payer requirements and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to expand OT services.
Client and Family Engagement
  • Minimum of twenty billable hours per week requirement
  • Ensure that OT services are family centered and culturally sensitive.
  • Support Staff in educating families on the role of OT in the context of ABA treatment.
  • Address complex clinical concerns.
What You'll Need:
  • Master's degree in occupational therapy
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, at least one year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience working with children with ASD.
  • Strong knowledge of sensory, integration, motor development, and adaptive behavior.
Work Location & Hours: This is a hybrid position, with the primary work location at the Jackson Early Intervention (EI) Center. The role includes a combination of on-site work and remote flexibility, along with travel to other EI Centers across New Jersey as needed for clinical supervision, training, and program development. Compensation The expected salary range for this role is $100,000-$115,000 per year, and the position is bonus eligible. Final compensation will be based on a range of factors, such as your skills, education, experience, certifications, market conditions, and internal equity.
