About the Role

The organization is on the lookout for a Director of Nutrition Support Services to head the strategic design and execution of our school food operations. We need a visionary leader with extensive experience in the food service industry, especially within educational or institutional frameworks. Your key responsibilities will include enhancing student meal participation, tackling food insecurity, and advocating for nutrition equity across our schools. You'll be focusing on delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate meals while overseeing substantial operations across many school sites.

As the Director, you will ensure compliance with regulations, cultivate vendor partnerships, manage labor relations, and maintain financial oversight for the department. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a Master's in a relevant field, alongside at least 10 years of experience in the food service sector. Strong capabilities in strategic planning, data analysis, and continuous improvement are critical, along with demonstrated success in managing complex budgets and federal reimbursement models. Exceptional communication skills are a must, enabling you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, while remaining committed to equity, academic excellence, and community collaboration.

The ideal candidate will also have comprehensive knowledge of USDA child nutrition programs, food compliance regulations, and a history of building partnerships to foster innovation in the field.
