Job Description :
To be present where needed, ready to work and on time for all scheduled hours. Includes recognizing when situations require more effort, satisfying responsibilities in a timely manner, and providing an example of punctuality and attendance.
  • Oversee the annual preventative maintenance cycle*
  • Direct and provide bids for capital improvement projects as assigned by Pastor, Principal, Director of Mission, or Director of Advancement*
  • Direct weekly facilities meetings and oversee all campus special event setup, and clean up, in collaboration with the school custodian and parish/school calendar coordinator(s)*
  • Triage online maintenance and occasional cleaning request submissions and respond in a timely and prioritized manner to requests from Principal, Pastor, fellow staff, and renters*
  • Monitor emergency facility on-call phone extension*
  • Submit an annual facilities budget proposal to pastor, principal, and Finance Council*
  • Prepare all documents required to participate in the Catholic Mutual PRISM insurance program and respond to their annual facilities audit
  • Oversee custodial and grounds keeping staff, volunteers, and contractors (mowing, plowing, parish volunteer project days, cleaning crew, etc.)*
  • Promote compliance with safety, health, fire, security, and environmental regulations and best practices
  • Represent the Church of St. Raphael in matters relating to local civil concerns, including codes, variances, regulations, assessments, etc.
  • Review and seek approval from Catholic Mutual for all maintenance agreements, contracts, and bids as required. Review and approve the purchase and maintenance of all machinery
  • Negotiate and review all maintenance agreements, contracts, and bids both for regular service providers and repair needs that arise.
  • Attend parish committee meetings as requested by pastor and provide necessary documents
  • Code invoices pertaining to facilities maintenance before passing them on to accounts payable
  • Establish working relationships with other departments such as: Parish School Principal and leadership, Religious Formation, Pastoral Care, Liturgy and Music.
