Benefits for the Director of Maintenance include:

  • Salary of $70,000 - $75,000/year, dependent on your experience and skills.

Responsibilities for the Director of Maintenance position include:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the day-to-day activities of maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff to ensure that our client's needs are met and/or exceeded by performing facilities maintenance duties personally or through delegation.
  • Serve as the direct communication point for the timing, completion, and quality of work orders.
  • Shared accountability for customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Manage personnel and subcontractors engaged in performing facility maintenance work procedures, as well as performing some of the work on your own. This is a hands-on position working with your crew.
  • Interview candidates, onboard, and train new hires.
  • Handle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures; prepare and file accident reports.
  • Approve the procurement of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure conformity to contract specifications and quality.
  • Achieve acceptable KPI scores.
  • Ensure all operational and administrative work is compliant with our processes.
  • Team development and career planning for the workgroup.
  • Prepare and organize monthly steering team meetings and quarterly business reviews.

Requirements for the Director of Maintenance position include:

  • Multi-trade experience with a concentration in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and codes on trade is assigned.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulatory process .
  • Two years' experience with maintenance in the senior living industry.
  • Technical training or a certificate in trade is .
  • Two years' experience with maintenance in the senior living industry.
  • Universal CFC certification .
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or construction-related field of study or 5 or more years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
  • Intermediate computer skills, including experience working with CMMS work order software, Microsoft Office applications, and Contact Management software.
