We're looking for a dedicated Director of Maintenance to lead our aircraft maintenance operations with precision, safety, and leadership.
What You'll Do:
As our Director of Maintenance, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our helicopters to the highest standards. You'll work closely with the EMS Leadership and a hands-on supervisor to ensure our aircraft are flight-ready at all times. This is a key leadership position, requiring a strong technical background and a collaborative spirit.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing and overseeing aircraft maintenance in compliance with FAR Part 135 and FAA regulations.
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and planning repairs.
- Conducting regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and fluid/battery checks.
- Keeping accurate maintenance logs and FAA records.
- Managing inventory, requisitioning parts and tools, and keeping the hangar well-stocked.
- Supervising other mechanics and ensuring a safe, OSHA-compliant work environment.
- Staying current with FAA directives and ensuring team training is up to date.
- Managing maintenance budgets without compromising safety or quality.
Your Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience maintaining helicopters, with at least 3 years working on twin-engine Eurocopter products.
- FAA A&P certification.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Aircraft tools and procedures
- FAA regulations (Parts 91, 135, MEL, STCs, 337s, and Avionics)
- Corrosion control, inspection intervals, service techniques, and troubleshooting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use computers for logs, forms, and communication.
- Leadership and organizational skills to manage budgets, schedules, and people.
What Else You Should Know:
- Fingerprinting is required.
- Must pass a post-offer drug screening per FAA and DOT regulations.
- You'll be expected to maintain an up-to-date library of FAA and manufacturer bulletins.
- You'll prepare various reports and documents and collaborate with vendors, contractors, and other departments.
- Attendance at training sessions and staying updated on new regulations is part of the role.
