Director of Machine Learning - Fruition Group : Job Details

We're working with an innovative technology business developing AI systems that reshape how people move through and interact with real-world environments. By combining computer vision, machine learning, and intelligent edge devices, they create seamless, automated experiences that remove barriers from everyday activities.

They are seeking a Director of Machine Learning to set the technical direction for multiple teams and deliver high-impact, production-ready AI capabilities. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of hands-on technical problem-solving and strategic planning.

• Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams spanning data science, ML engineering, and application development.
• Define and deliver a multi-year roadmap for machine learning initiatives, from early-stage R&D to scaled deployment.
• Partner with hardware, software, and product leaders to ensure integrated, reliable solutions.
• Provide technical oversight, engage in architecture decisions, and solve complex engineering challenges.
• Build a strong, inclusive team culture while mentoring future technical leaders.
• Drive adoption of best practices in ML model development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• 10+ years in ML or related technical fields, including at least 4 years in a leadership position managing managers and senior engineers.
• Proven record of delivering large-scale ML solutions, ideally in computer vision (e.g., object detection, tracking, or re-identification).
• Strong experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and GPU acceleration (CUDA, TensorRT).
• Skilled in modern software development and cloud-based ML deployment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
