Director of M&A, PE-Backed Portfolio Company - Confidential Company : Job Details

A private equity-backed portfolio company in services and logistics which serves the entertainment and media industry, experiencing strong growth and actively pursuing strategic inorganic expansion. The company is seeking to build out its leadership team to support continued growth through acquisitions.

The Director of M&A will play a key role in driving the company's inorganic growth strategy. This individual will lead the evaluation, execution, and integration of acquisitions, working closely with the executive team and private equity sponsor to identify and pursue opportunities that enhance the company's market position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deal Execution

• Source, evaluate, and execute potential acquisitions aligned with the company's strategic priorities.
• Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence to assess potential targets.
• Partner with internal teams, external advisors, and the private equity sponsor to structure and negotiate transactions.
• Manage cross-functional workstreams during due diligence and integration processes.
• Provide strategic insights to the executive team on market trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 - 10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or related M&A roles in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Proven track record of executing transactions from end-to-end.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with senior executives, private equity sponsors, and external stakeholders.
• Prior experience in media, technology, or services industries preferred but not required.

COMPENSATION

• $400k - $500k total compensation potential.
