Job DescriptionDirector, M&A IntegrationPosition Summary ABM is seeking an experienced Director of M&A Integration to lead and mature the company's approach to post-transaction transitions. This role is responsible for end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of integration and carve-out initiatives. This individual will be a core member of ABM's Corporate Development team, accountable for developing playbooks, managing program execution, guiding cross-functional teams, and serving as a key interface with both internal leaders and acquired employees. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic acumen, project management excellence, and exceptional interpersonal skills to help ABM realize the full value of its M&A activities. Pay: $175,000.00-$200,00.00 The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. - Drive the planning and day-to-day project management of M&A integration and carve-out activities, from due diligence through post-close execution.
- Lead integration governance and coordination ensuring consistent alignment with ABM's strategic goals.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders and business owners to build and execute detailed integration plans tied to acquisition rationale and deal value drivers.
- Participate in the diligence process to evaluate risks, identify integration needs, and support the development of transitional service agreements and post-close actions.
- Develop and continuously improve ABM's integration playbook, process framework, and related tools.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Serve as a key interface between ABM and acquired employees; support onboarding, cultural alignment, and navigation of internal systems and processes.
- Leverage strong communication and influencing skills to align stakeholders, drive decisions, and manage executive-level expectations.
- Effectively communicate program status, risks, key milestones, and success metrics to senior leadership and broader project teams.
- Surface strategic opportunities and potential roadblocks throughout the integration process and facilitate timely resolution.
Program & Risk Management
- Provide program management support across all functional workstreams to ensure accountability, progress tracking, and successful delivery.
- Lead recurring workstream meetings to monitor status, address issues, and keep initiatives on track.
- Identify and proactively resolve critical challenges by applying deep business acumen and experience with complex transitions.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field Experience
- 10+ years of experience in M&A, with a strong track record in leading post-merger integrations, divestitures, and carve-outs.
- Experience working directly with executive-level stakeholders and navigating complex, matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing scalable integration playbooks and governance structures.
