A well-established New York–based real estate property management firm is rapidly expanding into New Jersey and has just landed a marquee 240-unit garden-style community that needs to be leased-up. To launch this exciting new market, we are seeking a Senior Leasing Professional / Director of Leasing to set up shop, lead lease-up operations, and build a local team from the ground up.

What You'll Do:

• Take charge of leasing a newly restored 240-unit property (lease-up currently underway).
• Serve as the onsite presence and point of contact for prospective residents.
• Hire, train, and manage a leasing team (3–10 people as new properties come online).
• Build out leasing operations and best practices for a rapidly growing NJ portfolio.
• Partner with ownership to implement marketing strategies (Google Ads, Facebook campaigns, Apartments.com, Apartments247, etc.).
• Drive occupancy from near zero to stabilized, ensuring a best-in-class resident experience.

What We're Looking For:

• Seasoned leasing leader with 5–10+ years of direct lease-up experience, ideally from a recognized property management company (e.g., Greystar, AvalonBay, etc.).
• Strong background in garden-style / suburban communities (NJ-specific experience a plus).
• Familiarity with YARDI, AppFolio, and leading digital leasing platforms.
• A builder's mindset – excited to take ownership and establish processes for a new market.
• Must live within commuting distance to Belleville, NJ, and have reliable transportation to other properties in NJ as they come online.
