Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

The client is a life/annuity carrier owned by one of the largest global asset managers in the world. With a long history and recognized as one of America's most trustworthy financial companies and best mid-sized employers, this carrier accounts for investments arranged by the global asset manager that incorporates the life/annuity carrier's platform. As a result, there is a need to account for increasingly complex investments. The client wishes to onboard a Director of Investment Operations Accounting to lead the investment accounting team, contributing to the continued success and legacy of this well-established insurance corporation. The scope of the role is at the intersection of investment operations accounting and the CAMRA/Clearwater accounting systems. The Houston Metro area and hybrid. Compensation is in the $160,000-175,000 range on the fixed. A fuller description is available.Scope

• Oversee team members and daily business operations to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage the CAMRA accounting system and related workflows for consistent processes and accurate records in investment accounts, positions, security pricing, capital transactions, securities reorganizations, composite memberships, and performance calculations.
• Direct the trade order management system and related workflows for accurate processes in trade orders, allocations, restrictions, and communication with brokers.
• Safeguard compliance by actively maintaining and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Ensure the integrity of system data for correct reporting deliverables to internal and external clients.
• Serve as the key operational liaison to custodians, executing brokers, third-party administrators, and related vendors.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through self-initiated professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance.
• Demonstrated leadership achievement in the financial services industry.
• Expertise in investment and financial reporting, CAMRA and Clearwater.
