Position Details Position Information Position Title Director of Instructional Design; OPCVM Department CVM Academic Affairs Position Category Staff Full Time Job Description The Director of Instructional Design is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of course content, instructional strategies, and educational technologies. This role involves collaborating with faculty and staff to enhance the quality of education through innovative instructional design and effective use of technology in the predominantly team-based-learning curriculum. The Director works with department heads and other faculty to ensure that the curriculum meets the highest standards of academic excellence. Required Qualifications •Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field •Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience •Proficiency with technology and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and learning management systems •Submission of a digital portfolio of relevant works Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with TBL (Team-Based Learning).
  • Experience with veterinary education.
  • Experience with Allele.
  • Leadership experience
Physical DemandsCampus Orange Park Florida Job Duty Job Duty Serve as the administrative leader of the LMU-OPCVM curriculum, collaborating with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and faculty on all responsibilities and duties Job Duty Support new and experienced faculty through their onboarding and training in educational methodologies Job Duty Provide program updates to the OPCVM leadership and maintain consistent communication with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Job Duty Assist with preparation of institutional and accreditation reports as requested Job Duty Represent the instructional design office in meetings and committees as appropriate Job Duty Works closely with faculty, academic staff, and administrators in the design, production, and implementation of the curriculum; analyzes learning needs and partners with subject matter experts to provide input for course content Job Duty Assists faculty with setting instructional goals, assessments, creating engaging and compelling learning activities, various learning applications (Canvas, Allele, Google, etc.), PowerPoint presentations for teaching, and gathering documents and course materials and entering it into Canvas/Allele (Learning Management System Job Duty Lead periodic curriculum reviews to ensure that curriculum is current and effective Job Duty Develop and implement strategic instructional initiatives and curriculum plans in collaboration with stakeholders Job Duty Provide ongoing professional development and training for faculty on best practices in instructional design and technology integration Job Duty Oversee the assessment and continuous improvement of instructional methods and curriculum programs Job Duty Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, ADA requirements, and other relevant regulations Job Duty Manage the online learning processes and procedures, including course design, implementation, and assessment Job Duty Develop and implement strategic plans and policies for virtual learning and technology use Job Duty Lead program faculty in preparation of syllabi and other course-related materials Job Duty Provide budget input for instructional resources and materials Job Duty Participate in university committees Job Duty Perform other duties as assigned.
