Job Title: Director of Health and Wellness (Director of Nursing)
Location: Lake Mary, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with occasional weekend or on-call responsibilities)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Health and Wellness (Director of Nursing) to lead our Assisted Living and Memory Care health services team. This role is responsible for coordinating, managing, and supervising all nursing and aide services, ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support. The Director will oversee resident assessments, admissions, and the development of individualized care plans through our EMR system (Eldermark).
This opportunity offers the chance to step into a large, busy community with a new leadership team, including an incoming Assistant Director, where you'll play a key role in shaping the culture and success of the Health & Wellness department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to the Health & Wellness department, ensuring excellence in resident care.
- Manage and supervise nursing and aide services for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
- Conduct resident assessments and admissions, and develop/update personalized service care plans.
- Hire, coach, and mentor staff while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Partner with community leadership to uphold a culture of professionalism, compassion, and resident satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- 5+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting (Assisted Living or Home Health preferred).
- 2+ years of leadership experience, including hiring and supervisory responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong computer skills and experience with electronic health record systems (EHR/EMR).
- Proven success in leading large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong desire to work with and support the elderly population.
