We are seeking a Director of Growth Marketing Technology, Data, and Analytics to lead strategic initiatives that directly influence engagement, retention, and business growth. This role will be a key leader within the Audience Relationships team, overseeing the robust email and notification programs at Dotdash Meredith, which deliver billions of messages to our expanding audience. Through cutting-edge marketing technology, data-driven insights, and advanced automation, this leader will play a pivotal role in enhancing audience relationships and maximizing impact.
Key Responsibilities
MarTech Strategy, Data Infrastructure & Integration
- Oversee the entire MarTech data ecosystem and ensure seamless integration with the broader Dotdash Meredith systems, data connections to and from MarTech platforms.
- Lead the data strategy, implementation, and management of marketing technology platforms including but not limited to ESPs, CDPs, Data warehouses, and other marketing tools.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Ops teams to ensure data accuracy, system interoperability, and a solution-oriented approach to platform optimizations.
- Establish and enforce data governance and quality standards, ensuring reliable, structured, and actionable marketing data.
Audience Engagement Insights and Analytics
- Assist in the architecting and strategizing of growth initiatives that help drive subscriber acquisition, retention, and engagement across email, notifications, and other owned channels.
- In collaboration with DataOps and Product, architect a framework of subscriber and campaign data to be used for campaign performance as well as performance monitoring.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of dashboards, reporting, and visualizations that provide clear insights into marketing effectiveness and audience behavior.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Audience Relationships team and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on subscriber data, business objectives, marketing technology, and data strategies.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to advocate for MarTech enhancements that improve automation, personalization, and data accessibility.
- Ensure a seamless integration of marketing platforms with broader customer data and analytics ecosystems to drive more effective decision-making.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of marketing technologists, and data analysts.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making within the team and across the organization.
- Provide strategic recommendations and thought leadership on emerging trends in MarTech, data analytics, and audience engagement.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, audience development, or lifecycle marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep expertise in email marketing, subscriber retention, and audience engagement strategies.
- Experience leading high-performing teams in a data-driven marketing environment.
- Strong knowledge in MarTech tools like (Iterable, HighTouch, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.).
- Highly analytical mindset with a proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders effectively.
Hybrid 3x a week- (NYC/Des Moines)
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $130,000.00 - $145,000.00. The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.
